Dozy’s structure maps almost perfectly onto a school schedule if you set it up in the right order: labels for classes, projects for the bigger assignments, and (on paid plans) calendar sync and resource folders to keep everything in one place.
Set up a label for every class you’re taking. Since Dozy supports unlimited labels with custom colors, you can create one for “Chemistry,” “History,” “Calculus,” or whatever your schedule looks like. Every single task or homework you add should get tagged with the relevant class label, so filtering your whole workload down to just one subject takes a single click.
This is the layer that should never run out. Labels are free and unlimited, so this part of the setup works the same on every plan.
Projects are not for every class. Use a project when you have a bigger piece of work that bundles multiple homeworks or tasks together, a group thesis, a semester-long research paper, an exam prep sprint that spans several subjects worth of studying. Each project gets its own resource folder, description, and color, so it acts as a container for everything tied to that one bigger goal.
Keep in mind the free plan only allows 3 projects total. That’s fine if you’re only running two or three big initiatives at once, but it means you shouldn’t try to make a project for every class. Save projects for the handful of things that actually need grouping across multiple homeworks, and let labels carry the day-to-day class organization.
If you’re on Silver, Gold, or Diamond, use resource folders inside each project. This is where you keep the actual materials tied to that project: PDFs, links, notes, whatever you need so nothing gets lost across five different apps and browser tabs. Doing this consistently is what actually keeps you productive, since you’re not hunting through Drive or Messages the night before something is due.
Storage scales with plan: Silver gives you 50 MB, Gold gives you 1 GB, and Diamond gives you 2 GB. Pick your plan based on how much you actually need to store, not just how many projects you’re running.
On Gold, connect your third-party calendars (Google, Microsoft) directly into Dozy, or just build your calendar natively inside the app if you’d rather start clean. Either way, once your classes, deadlines, and events live inside Dozy’s calendar view, you get a single monthly grid showing everything due that day instead of cross-checking two or three separate apps.
Diamond students should set up their calendar the exact same way as the gold students, sync your third-party calendars or build it inside Dozy. The difference is Diamond includes Smart Calendar, which needs one extra input from you: an honest guess at how long each homework or task will actually take. Pro tip: we recommend that you overshoot in order to make sure you don't end up in a situation where you have to extened your day.
Once you enter that estimate, Dozy’s scheduling engine uses it to automatically slot tasks into your real gaps in the week, rather than you manually figuring out when you have time. The estimate doesn’t need to be perfect, but the more consistently you log it, the more accurate your automated schedule becomes over time.
